Hi, I’m Tara.
I’m a Certified Autism Specialist, Parent Mentor, and founder of 2 Be Social, LLC, but what really qualifies me to guide you is the lived journey I’ve walked.
I created The Empowered Mom Method™ for moms raising high-masking, misunderstood, emotionally overwhelmed teens because I’ve been exactly where you are.
I spent years stuck in survival mode, trying to follow expert advice that just didn’t work for my kid. What changed everything was the moment I stopped trying to fix everything… and started healing me.
Now, I help other moms release what isn’t theirs to carry, rebuild true connection with their child, and lead their family from a place of grounded confidence, not chronic overwhelm.
But this work isn’t just personal...it’s backed by 20+ years of professional experience.
I hold a dual degree in Sociology and Elementary Education, a Master’s in Curriculum, Instruction & Development, and clinical training from the Social Thinking® Clinic in Boston. Since founding 2 Be Social in 2013, I’ve empowered children, teens, and families to develop meaningful social skills, self-awareness, and success in both school and life.

And when I’m not mentoring moms or facilitating group programs, you’ll find me mountain biking, reading fantasy novels, camping, and getting outdoors with my family and English Springer Spaniel.
